Gas supply in some Dhaka areas to be disrupted today

Gas supply will remain suspended for four hours -- from 1:00pm to 5:00pm -- at different areas in Dhaka today.

According to Titas Gas Supply and Transmission Company Ltd, the areas include Kamalapur Railway Station to Titipara slum, Saydabad bus terminal, Mugda, Golapbagh, Beltala, Maniknagar, Atish Dipankar Road, RK Mission Road, Gopibagh, Uttar Jatrabari, and Dhalpur.

The gas disruption will be due to relocation work of gas pipeline from Titipara to Golapbagh to facilitate the implementation of the Padma Bridge rail project, said Titas Gas.

It also said the consumers in the areas adjacent to those mentioned above may experience low gas pressure due to the relocation work.
