Govt to set up land information banks in each district: Land minister

The government will introduce sustainable digital land information banks in each district across the country, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said today.

He urged the deputy commissioners and land officials to take effective steps to protect the government lands, while inaugurating the country's first ever sustainable Digital Land Information Bank at a programme at Khulna DC office.

The bank will also be considered a milestone to get land service and khas land, wetland and hat-bazar management.

All kinds of harassment and corruption in the land sector will be eliminated, he said.

Khulna DC Md Helal Hossain chaired the event while Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque was present, among others.
