The New York Police Department celebrated Nessa for becoming the "first Bangladeshi female sergeant".
The New York Police Department celebrated Nessa for becoming the "first Bangladeshi female sergeant".
"At the age of 21, she immigrated to the US from Bangladesh and juggled 2 jobs while studying English," said NYPD on their verified Facebook page.
