Rozina’s arrest regrettable, foreign ministry has to face questions over it: Momen

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said that the harassment and arrest of Prothom Alo journalist Rozina Islam is "regrettable".
"This is a regrettable and unexpected incident for the government. As foreign ministry, we have to face questions over this," he told reporters at the State Guesthouse Padma today.
He said such incident occurred only because of a few government employees, and it should not be repeated.
Momen said journalists are a very helpful force for the government as they unearth corruption and inform both the people and the authorities.
Corruption would not be revealed without journalists, he said. About Covid-19, Momen said that the agreement of purchasing vaccines from China will be finalised by next week.
Momen was scheduled to hold a meeting with South Korean Ambassador Lee Jang-Keun at the guest house.
