Will keep up efforts to ensure justice for Rozina: information minister

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said that he will keep trying to ensure justice for Rozina.

The minister said this after leaders and members of Dhaka Reporters' Unity and Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum met him at his residence -- urging justice for the Prothom Alo senior reporter.

They also demanded that an impartial probe body be formed to investigate the incident as journalists "cannot put faith on the committee formed by the health ministry," reads a memorandum submitted by them.

"I will discuss with concerned authorities regarding the formation of a new and impartial probe committee," the information minister said.

"We will continue our efforts to ensure that Rozina is treated respectfully and justice is ensured," the minister said, urging everyone to look at the issue realistically, instead of emotionally.

He also reminded everyone "no human being is infallible."
