Worker electrocuted at under-construction flyover in Ctg

One person was electrocuted while working at an under-construction flyover in Chattogram's Patenga early today.

The deceased was identified as Md Ainuddin, 27, an electrician, reports our staff correspondent quoting Silabroto Das, Nayek of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police box.

Another electrician, Khurshed Alam, 20, who was working at the same project, was injured in a fire caused by short circuit following the electrocution, Silabroto added.

Both victims were rushed to CMCH where doctors declared Ainuddin dead around 4:38am, the Nayek said.

Khurshed was taken to the burn unit of the hospital, he added.
