Source tax on broadband may be halved

The source tax on broadband services has been recommended to be reduced to 5 percent from the existing 10 percent in the proposed national budget.

Bangladesh currently has 1.4 crore broadband users, served by nearly 3,000 internet service providers across the country, according to data from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
