bKash wins ‘Data Impact Award’ for real-time data excellence
Bangladesh's leading mobile financial services (MFS) provider, bKash Limited, won an internationally acclaimed "Data Impact Award" from Cloudera, a US-based big data technology company, for delivering secure and innovative customer services by leveraging big data and real-time, data-driven technology.
Md Mohiuddin, vice-president of the product and technology division at bKash, received the award at a ceremony recently held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, according to a press release.
This year, bKash was recognised as the top performer in the Data in Motion and Streaming Success category under Business Innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.
Alongside bKash, Singapore's OCBC Group and India's Vodafone Idea also won awards in other Data in Motion and Streaming Success categories.
Cloudera has been presenting the Data Impact Awards since 2013 to recognise innovative achievements in data management and analytics. Each year, organisations worldwide are honoured across various categories.
The award ceremony also featured a series of sessions with leading experts on contemporary technology and data analytics.
