All e-commerce businesses must register within 2 months

All e-commerce businesses will have to register with the commerce ministry within the next two months.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting today, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told reporters.

E-commerce businesses will have to keep security deposit at Bangladesh Bank to begin operations.

Intelligence agencies will monitor activities of the business organisations, the cabinet secretary said.
