Tk 210 crore project to establish bio-gas plants gets nod

The government today gave nod to a nearly Tk 210 crore project to establish 64,000 bio-gas plants with the objective to generate renewable energy in rural areas.
The government today gave nod to a nearly Tk 210 crore project to establish 64,000 bio-gas plants with the objective to generate renewable energy in rural areas.
The energy generated from the bio-gas plants will be used for cooking and electricity generation, according to the project which got clearance from the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council meeting.
The three-year project, which will be implemented in all the districts, is scheduled to complete in December 2023.
