Bashundhara’s ABG Ltd to become CSE’s strategic partner

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has approved a proposal to appoint ABG Limited, a subsidiary of Bashundhara Group, as a strategic partner of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has approved a proposal to appoint ABG Limited, a subsidiary of Bashundhara Group, as a strategic partner of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

In order to become the strategic partner, the company will buy a 25 per cent stake in the CSE.

The commission gave the approval at a meeting on Wednesday following an application of the board of the bourse in the port city, the BSEC said in a press release.

A Chinese consortium of Shenzhen and Shanghai stock exchanges became a strategic partner of the Dhaka bourse in 2018.
