Dhaka, Chittagong stocks edge up

The prime indices of Dhaka and Chattogram bourses rose slightly in the morning trade today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), added 2 points, or 0.03 per cent, to 6,341 at 11:32 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 250 crore.

Of the securities, 88 advanced, 75 declined and 131 remained unchanged.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, rose 4 points, or 0.02 per cent, to 18,721.

Of the issues, 37 rose, 33 retreated, and 30 saw no price movement.

Turnover of the port city bourse stood at Tk 1.3 crore at 11:32 am.
