Dhaka stocks edge down, Chattogram's up

Most shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) fell in the first half today.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the top bourse in Bangladesh, lost 1.3 points, or 0.02 per cent, to 6,279 at 11:30 am.
Turnover stood at Tk 175 crore.
Of the securities, 41 advanced, 119 declined and 111 remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, the Caspi, all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, inched up 6 points, or 0.03 per cent, to 18,541.
Of the issues, 17 rose, 25 retreated, and 22 saw no price movement.
