Stock market trading to start at 9:30 am from tomorrow

From tomorrow, stock market trading in Bangladesh will start at 9:30 am, half an hour earlier than the stipulated schedule.

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) took the decision today in order to reduce electricity consumption in this sector.

As per the new trading hour, the market will open at 9:30 am instead of 10 am and end at 1:50 pm instead of 2 pm, the BSEC said in a circular.

The trading hour has been brought forward as per the instruction of the cabinet division as well as in line with the new schedule of banking hours, it said.

Post-closing session of the trading will be from 1.50 pm to 2 pm.
