UK jobless rate dips to 4.3pc

Britain's unemployment rate dipped in January, reverting to the lowest level since 1975 after a brief rise the previous months, official data showed on Wednesday.

The jobless rate stood at 4.3 percent in the three months to the end of January, the Office for National Statistics said in a statement. That was slightly down from 4.4 percent in the quarter to December 2017, which had been a first rise in 16 months.
