Stocks begin week with a fall

Stocks continued its downward trend today, as the investors kept moving cautiously. 

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, was down 0.30 percent as of 11:12 am. 

The index gained 15.8 points to 5,176.78 in the morning trade. 

The market movement showed a negative momentum, as 106 issues advanced, 182 declined, and 77 remained unchanged. 

Total turnover stood at Tk 118.87 crore. 

Dragon Sweater and Spinning led the gains, rising over 9 percent , while shares of Kohinoor Chemicals Company plunged over 11 percent

The CSE All Share Price Index meanwhile gained 0.09 percent or 14.26 points to settle at 14,546.57.
