Stocks fall slightly as turnover drops 

Dhaka stocks fell slightly today, breaking the gains of consecutive two days while the turnover also declined. 

The DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), dropped 2.43 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 5,189.62. 

Among the traded securities, 143 advanced, 209 declined, and 47 remained unchanged.  

Turnover declined 24 percent to Tk 391.15 crore. 

The Shariah-based DSES index gained 0.30 percent to 1,152.70 points, while the blue-chip DS30 index edged up 0.09 percent to 1,914.06.  

Nurani Dyeing & Sweater topped the gainers' list with a rise of 10 percent, while Fareast Finance & Investment fell the most of over 5 percent.
