Stocks gain in morning trade 

Stocks rose marginally in the first hour of trading today, following positive market trends over the past two days. 

DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose 0.17 percent as of 11:06 am. 

It gained 9.36 points to reach 5364.69.

Among the shares traded, 200 advanced, 100 declined, and 64 remained unchanged.

Total turnover stood at Tk 172.59 crore. 

Stylecraft Ltd led the gains, rising 10 percent, while Takaful Islami Insurance Ltd declined over 8 percent. 

At the Chittagong Stock Exchange, the All Share Price Index (CASPI) increased by 0.23 percent, gaining 35.39 points to reach 14915.62.
