GPH Ispat, Buet sign deal for collaboration

GPH Ispat and the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) facilitating long-term industry and academia collaborations such as research and academic knowledge sharing, student scholarships, fellowships, assistantships and internships.

Mohammed Jahangir Alam, chairman of GPH Group, and Muhammad Anisuzzamn Talukder, director of research and innovation centre for science and engineering (RISE) at Buet, signed the agreement at the latter's auditorium recently, said a press release.

Md Shahid Ullah Khandaker, secretary to the housing and public works ministry, Prof Satya Prasad Majumder, vice-chancellor of Buet, Prof Abdul Jobbar Khan, pro-vice- chancellor, Prof M Shamim Z Bosunia, adviser to GPH Ispat, Mohammed Almas Shimul, additional managing director, and Md Ashrafuzzaman and Md Abdul Ahad, directors, were present.
