International tourism fair begins in Dhaka
The three-day international tourism fair titled "US-Bangla Airlines Dhaka Travel Mart 2025" kicked off at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka today.
Mohd Shuhada Othman, the Malaysian high commissioner to Bangladesh, inaugurated the fair as the chief guest, according to a press release.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is offering a 15 percent discount on airfare for travel to 10 destinations in their international network.
Online travel agency Firsttrip is offering one free air ticket against the purchase of one to any domestic destination on US-Bangla Airlines and Air Astra.
Other participants are also offering discounts on air tickets, tour packages, hotel and resort rooms, and more.
SM Lablur Rahman, member of finance at the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, attended the 20th edition of the fair as the special guest. The event is organised by the Bangladesh Monitor.
US-Bangla Airlines, a private sector carrier of the country, is supporting the event as the title sponsor. Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) PLC have joined as the airline partner and banking partner, respectively. The tourism fair is powered by the leading online travel agency Firsttrip and travel company Akij Air.
Visitors can attend the fair by paying an entry fee of Tk 50 from 10am to 8pm daily.
Kazi Wahidul Alam, editor of the Bangladesh Monitor; Mohammad Shamsul Karim, general manager (sales) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines; Kamrul Islam, general manager of public relations; Md Shafquat Hossain, deputy managing director of MTB; and Hasnain Rafiq, chief operating officer of Firsttrip, among others, were also present.
