AIUB Champions League 2025 held

The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) organised the grand finale of the AIUB Champions League (ACL) 2025 on September 18, with Borussia Dortmund, representing the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), emerging as champions.

In a tense final match, Borussia Dortmund defeated FC Barcelona, representing the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, in a 6–5 tiebreaker. Atletico Madrid from the Faculty of Business Administration secured third place, while Real Sociedad, also from the Faculty of Science and Technology, received the Fair Play award for their sportsmanship.

Adding to the atmosphere, a women's match between Inter Miami and Real Madrid ended with Inter Miami edging out their rivals in a competitive game.

The prize-giving ceremony was attended by Nadia Anwar, founder member and chairman of the board of trustees at AIUB; Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, vice chancellor of AIUB; Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman, pro vice-chancellor of AIUB; Dr. Zahidul Islam Khan, registrar of AIUB; Professor Dr. Manzur H. Khan, proctor of AIUB; Major (Retd.) Faiz-Ul-Bari Rajon, deputy director of administration; and Abu Miah Akhanda Tuhin, head of public relations.

The programme was hosted by Md. Joynal Abedin, coordinator of the Office of Sports. The event was organised by the Office of Sports with support from the Office of Student Affairs. Organisers expressed gratitude to the participants for their energy and commitment throughout the tournament.
