ASA University launches Research and Innovation Cell

Speakers at the event described the establishment of the Research and Innovation Cell as a forward-looking step for Bangladesh’s higher education sector.

ASA University Bangladesh (ASAUB) has inaugurated its new Research and Innovation Cell, an initiative designed to foster a stronger culture of research, creativity, and knowledge generation in higher education.

The inauguration ceremony was held on the university campus in Dhaka, beginning with a formal session at the IQAC conference room, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official launch.

The event was attended by senior academics and education leaders. Professor Dr. Md. Belal Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, attended as chief guest, while Professor Dr. Md. Ali Akbar, former Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University, and Professor Dr. Kazi Shahdat Kabir, Pro-Vice Chancellor of City University, were present as special guests. Professor Dr. Mohammad Faruque, Member of the Board of Trustees of ASAUB, was also in attendance. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim, Vice Chancellor of ASA University Bangladesh.

The inauguration brought together Vice Chancellors, Pro-Vice Chancellors, faculty members, researchers, and fellows from various universities and colleges across the country.

Speakers at the event described the establishment of the Research and Innovation Cell as a forward-looking step for Bangladesh's higher education sector. They emphasized that the initiative would encourage academic collaboration, promote quality research, and inspire students to achieve global standards in scholarship and innovation.

During the ceremony, faculty members showcased previous research works and proposed new research projects being developed at ASAUB, highlighting the university's growing focus on academic inquiry and innovation-driven learning.
