AYAT Education’s symposium on nursing today

This symposium, supported by the Dhaka Bank Limited, will be organised in partnership with the Center for Global Health of Massachusetts General Hospital and Simmons University, USA.

AYAT Education is holding a symposium on nursing education collaboration today at the Grand Ballroom of Westin Dhaka, said a press release.

This symposium, supported by the Dhaka Bank Limited, will be organised in partnership with the Center for Global Health of Massachusetts General Hospital and Simmons University, USA.

AYAT Education began the project "Dignifying Life" in 2018 with a national call to dignify the nursing profession and address the rising need for quality nurses and palliative care services in Bangladesh. 

As a part of the programme, AYAT Education is organising this symposium to discuss and explore the opportunities for collaboration in providing quality nursing education, especially with help of technologies like simulation lab. 

Dr Mashiur Rahman, economic affairs adviser to the prime minister, will join the event as the chief guest. 

Charles Whiteley, ambassador and head of delegation, European Union, Bangladesh; Asaduzzaman Noor, member of parliament; Helen LaFave, deputy chief of mission, US embassy, Dhaka; and Dr Rubana Huq, vice chancellor of Asian University for Women, along with some other guests will join the discussion. 

A team of researchers and educators from Massachusetts General Hospital and Simmons University, led by Dr Bimalangshu Dey, associate professor of medicine at Harvard University and director of Bangladesh Program at MGH Global Health, will participate in the programme.
