The graduation ceremony is one of the school’s most significant and anticipated annual events

Daffodil International School (DIS) held its Graduation Ceremony 2025 on September 20 at its Rupayan City campus in Uttara. The event marked both the conclusion of an important academic chapter and the beginning of new opportunities for students.

Md. Sabur Khan, chairman of Daffodil Group, attended as guest of honour. Special guests included Mahir Ali Khan Ratul, co-chairman of Rupayan Group; Maxim Raiman, country exam director of the British Council in Dhaka; Shaheen Reza, country director of Oxford AQA in Bangladesh and Nepal; Sarwat Masuda Reza, country lead of Cambridge University Press and Assessment in Bangladesh; Mahbubur Rahman, CEO of Rupayan City; Emran Hossain, COO of Daffodil Group; Samiha Khan, deputy director of brand and communication of Daffodil Group; and Shahana Khan, founding principal of DIS. The programme was presided over by Najah Salawat, principal of DIS.

Addressing the ceremony, Sabur Khan told students, "Students are beacons of light in the progress of the country. We are now going through the fourth industrial revolution. At this time, artificial intelligence is playing a very important role in the development of civilization. Although artificial intelligence is sometimes good for us, it has become a big challenge in the field of jobs. Every industrial revolution narrows the field of jobs and gives birth to new possibilities. The current generation will have to face many challenges in the future… Robots, drones, artificial intelligence, etc. will change the entire field of jobs. Technology and machinery will work like humans. Students must be ready now to face this challenge."

Mahir Ali Khan Ratul called students the future of the country and urged everyone to work towards developing them as good citizens. He encouraged graduates to build their futures with "the brilliance of knowledge, strength of character and the glory of study."

Najah Salawat, principal of DIS Uttara Campus, said, "Graduation is not just a stage in the academic life; it is a reflection of the students' preparation for higher education and their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities as global citizens. This moment is a moment of pride for the students and their families, symbolizing long-term hard work, guidance and bright prospects for the future."

Organisers said the graduation ceremony is one of the school's most significant and anticipated annual events, reflecting its emphasis on academic excellence and moral development.
