Daraz Cares, the social concern of Daraz Bangladesh, and The Daily Star have jointly announced their support for the Bangabazar sellers affected by the recent fire incident. The country's leading e-commerce marketplace has introduced a rigorous approach to aid the impacted sellers in their path toward recovery. And all updates can be seen in the largest circulating English daily.

A portion of fashion sales for the next four days will be contributed toward Bangabazar sellers impacted by the recent fire. The company has given precedence to the Bangabazar sellers already affiliated with Daraz, ensuring they receive the contribution amount in the first instance. On the other hand, Daraz Donates, the country's first online multi-charity donation platform, will allow anyone to purchase the Bangabazar-affected items online at a minimum price, and the amount will be handed over to the affected sellers.

A free onboarding initiative has also been taken for new Bangabazar sellers. It will allow them to rebuild their business on the platform for the first three months without any commissions charged. Ten volunteers from the Obhizatrik Foundation are already working with Daraz brand promoters to identify and support affected sellers in receiving this financial support.

Furthermore, Daraz has also pledged to provide additional financial assistance to the victims of the Bangabazar tragedy. Such contributions can facilitate the provision of crucial supplies and aid in rebuilding efforts.
