GoDeshi Wonderpreneurs Summit 2023 held in Dhaka

GoDeshi Wonderpreneurs Summit 2023 supported by TARA, ROBI, bKash, Haal Fashion, The Daily Star, has taken place at Aloki Convention Centre, adjacent to Gulshan Tejgaon Link Road on 15th July 2023.    

The keynote speaker of the event was Dr Bernd Spanier, Chargé d'Affaires of the EU Delegation to Bangladesh. Influential individuals from numerous industries and women entrepreneurs were present during this event. Among these significant personalities are Uzma Chowdhury, Director, Pran-RFL Group, Preema Nazia Andaleeb, President of Women-in-leadership (WIL) Kuhu Plamondon celebrated artist and fashion designer, Farzana Khan, GM of SME Foundation, popular veteran Actor Dilara Zaman, Azmeri Haque Badhon, International Award-winning Actor, Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq, CMO of Direct Fresh, Humaira Khan, fashion designer and entrepreneur, Tajdin Hassan, CBO of The Daily Star, Rokaiya ahmed Puma, International fashion designer, Monir Hossain from Jamdani Weaver, Arif R Hossain, Managing Director, Advanced Development Technologies Limited, Shamim zaman, Head of marketing communication, ROBI axiata ltd, and Barrister Rizwana Yusuf 
 
This summit was an effort to connect bridges between enthusiastic women entrepreneurs in the fashion industry and the industry leaders, According to the founder of GoDeshi, inspiration, mentorship and supports from the movers and shakers of the industry can make a significant difference for these young women entrepreneurs in the long run, benefitting all who dwell in the fashion industry. Through events like the GoDeshi Wonderpreneurs Summit, the platform aims to create a supportive community of like-minded individuals who can contribute to the growth of the industry. 

GoDeshi Wonderpreneurs Summit 2023 saw participation from women entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and stakeholders who shared their experiences, insights, and ideas for the growth of the industry.  
 
AARONG along with 7 other local entrepreneurs and fashion brands have received awards during the award ceremony of the summit. 
 
The entire event was curated through mindful panel discussions on pressing issues from the industry, Session on Design Innovation, Enabling session with BRAC, Bkash and ROBI, Session on Mental Health and YOGA, Dance performance followed by an Award Program and Concert by Bappa Mazumder. 

GoDeshi is an online based fashion and apparel-selling platform widely supporting local fashion designers, artisans, producers and employees. GoDeshi was founded in 2021 right after the pandemic hitting drastically the entire fashion and readymade garments industry, with the objective of supporting the industry and the entrepreneurs working within. GoDeshi eventually emerged as a platform to connect local fashion entrepreneurs with the high-end fashion market of Bangladesh.   

Today GoDeshi has over 2000 active merchants among which 98% are women entrepreneurs with 100% locally designed, produced products.
