IFAD Group celebrates 40 years of growth and innovation
IFAD Group, one of Bangladesh's leading business conglomerates, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a grand ceremony at IFAD Autos' Dhamrai Factory.
The event, held under the theme "Together on the Path of Prosperity," was attended by company officials, employees, and partners to commemorate four decades of progress and contribution to national development.
Founded in 1985 under the leadership of Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu, IFAD Group has grown into a diversified enterprise with operations spanning automobiles, lubricants, industrial compressors, food, toiletries, media, and information technology.
Guided by principles of ethical business, innovation, and social responsibility, the company has become a major employer and contributor to Bangladesh's industrial growth.
The celebration was attended by Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu, chairman of IFAD Group, along with the three vice chairmen, group managing director, senior officials, and employees from various business units.
In his speech, Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu reflected on the group's four-decade journey, saying, "The 40-year journey of IFAD is not just a story of business growth — it is a story of national progress, employment generation, and people's empowerment. We firmly believe that in the years ahead, IFAD will continue to grow even stronger through industrial advancement, job creation, and social welfare."
As part of the ceremony, the company presented the Long Service Award to recognize employees for their dedication and contributions. Cultural segment winners were also honored for their performances.
In line with IFAD Group's commitment to sustainability, a Tree Plantation Programme was organised at the factory premises, symbolising its pledge toward a greener future.
Senior management from international partners, including Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield, Apollo Tyres, Gulf Oil, and Wings Group, extended congratulatory messages marking the milestone.
The event concluded with cultural performances, including a classical dance by Warda Rihab and her troupe, musical performances by Imran and Kona, and creative showcases by IFAD employees. The evening celebrated IFAD's enduring legacy and its vision for continued prosperity in the years ahead.
