Jamuna Oil holds 49th AGM virtually

The meeting approved a 150% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2023-2024

The 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Jamuna Oil Company Limited (JOCL) was held on Tuesday (February 25) through a virtual platform. 

The meeting was presided over by M A Akmal Hossain Azad, Member (Senior Secretary) of the Physical Infrastructure Division, Bangladesh Planning Commission, and Chairman of the JOCL Board.  

Among others, the AGM was attended by Board of Directors members Kawsar Zahura, Md. Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan, Dr. Nurunnahar Chowdhury, ndc (Additional Secretary, Energy & Mineral Resources Division), Kabir Mahmud, Engineer Monzar Khorshed Alam, Saleh Ahmed Khasru, along with Mustafa Kudrat-E-Elahi, Managing Director of JOCL, and Md. Masudul Islam, Company Secretary of JOCL.  

The Chairman of the Board, M A Akmal Hossain Azad, delivered the welcome and concluding remarks, while the Managing Director, Mustafa Kudrat-E-Elahi, provided insights into the company's action plan and responded to various shareholder queries.  

The meeting approved a 150% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2023-2024, along with the audited financial statements and other agenda items.

During AMG, general shareholders expressed their opinions online on the audited financial statements and the Board of Directors' report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and expressed satisfaction with the company's overall operations.
