Janata Bank deposits cross Tk 1.25 lakh crore

Chairman Md. Fazlur Rahman said their trust and support had enabled Janata Bank to achieve this milestone despite challenges in the country’s financial sector.

State-owned Janata Bank PLC has reached a major milestone with its deposits crossing Tk 1.25 lakh crore.

The achievement was celebrated on Tuesday (September 9) at the bank's head office, where Chairman Md. Fazlur Rahman and Managing Director Md. Mazibur Rahman cut a cake along with senior executives and officers.

The event was attended by Deputy Managing Directors Md. Golam Mortuza, Md. Fayez Alam, Md. Nazrul Islam, and Md. Ashraful Alam, as well as the bank's general managers and deputy general managers. General managers of divisional offices, deputy general managers of area offices, and managers from branches across the country also joined virtually.

Expressing gratitude to customers, Chairman Md. Fazlur Rahman said their trust and support had enabled Janata Bank to achieve this milestone despite challenges in the country's financial sector.

Managing Director Md. Mazibur Rahman added, "As a result of the dedicated efforts and continuous hard work of all our officers and employees, Janata Bank has reached this desired milestone."
