Jica team visits BOU

A Jica-led study team visited Bangladesh Open University (BOU) on February 14 for assessing the infrastructural facilities for providing courses of studies under distance education, said a press release.
They collected data mainly on ICT and media supports for running programmes under blended learning for open schooling and teacher education.
The team met Prof Sufia Begum, dean, School of Education, and Prof Sabina Yeasmin, dean, Open School, and visited BOU Media and ICT Department.
They mainly explored information on existing infrastructure and expected facilities for uplifting the quality of secondary education.
Yusuke Mori led the Jica team. He was accompanied with Dr Yukiko Okugawa, education adviser to Directorate of Primary Education and their JICA counterpart in Bangladesh. Dr Md Mizanoor Rahman from the Open School coordinated the team activities at BOU.
