Job Market Essentials by Voice of Business held

Dhaka University’s student-led magazine and business club “Voice of Business (VoB)” welcomed back their flagship event “Job Market Essentials” to enhance the soft skills and hard skills of the students of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.

Dhaka University's student-led magazine and business club "Voice of Business (VoB)" welcomed back their flagship event "Job Market Essentials" to enhance the soft skills and hard skills of the students of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. The 3-day event titled "JME 2.0" and dated 18, 19 and 20th of February featured a group of prominent figures associated with the Job Market of Bangladesh. It took place in the Professor Habibullah Conference Hall at FBS, DU. The speakers discussed six contemporary issues which are essential for the Bangladeshi Job Market.

On the first day, the featured topics of "Freelancing" and "Professional Exam" were discussed respectively. The participants were enlightened by the presence of A.H. Ali who is a highly skilled social marketing freelancer. In addition, he is also a renowned figure in this sector as well as a successful entrepreneur. The second session was conducted by Md. Khairul Islam, currently working as an Assistant Manager of Taxation at Coats Bangladesh Ltd.

On the second day, topics of discussion for the second day were "Personal Branding" and "Route to MNC". The speaker of the first session was Md. Tajdin Hasan, currently working as the Chief Business Officer and Chief Operating Officer of The Daily Star and Keeron respectively. After the first session, the next one was conducted by Imtiaz Ahmed Chowdhury, Sales Director, Syngenta Bangladesh Limited.

The highly anticipated third day, which was initially a surprise session, and featured a panel discussion on the topic "Art of Innovation". The key essence behind the topic was the enhancement of creativity and skills of students including business development and the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of entrepreneurs in order to take initiatives in a business. The high voltage event consisted of elite panelists Md. Rashedur Rahman, Siddartho Goshwami, Sheikh Fahad and Md. Enayet Chowdhury.

The title sponsor of the event was Keeron, the media partner was The Daily Star, and the beverage partner was Nestle.

Job Market Essentials 2.0 was concluded with the speech of Voice of Business president Nafij Al Shaikh. He urged the students of FBS to move towards their aim confidently and ensured the club's support towards their goal. The event attracted a significant number of participants from the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.
