Labaid Cardiac Hospital launches awareness drive marking World Heart Day

Labaid Cardiac Hospital has marked World Heart Day with a scientific session and the launch of a two-week cardiac awareness campaign.

The session, titled "Your health is in your hands", featured a keynote paper on heart disease and its remedies delivered by Dr Md Asifudoza (Asif).

The event was chaired by Dr Abduz Zaher, with Dr A P M Sohrabuzzaman and Dr Lutfor Rahman serving as co-chairs. Proceedings were conducted by Dr Gazi Enayet Ullah.

Labaid, the country's first NABH-accredited hospital, also announced a "special service fortnight" running from 29 September to 15 October.

The campaign will provide cardiac screening packages, including heart assessments and consultations with specialist physicians.

At the end of the programme, Ahmad Dawood, Chief Executive Officer of Labaid Hospitals, expressed his gratitude to all participants.

SM Nur Hossain and senior consultants from Labaid were also present in the programme.
