Metlife, NSU sign MoU

Metlife Bangladesh and North South University (NSU) will operate a series of programmes under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the benefit of the university's researchers and students, said a press release.

The MoU was signed by M Ala Uddin Ahmad, FCA, chief executive officer, MetLife Bangladesh; and NSU Vice Chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam on the NSU campus on November 16.

As per the MoU, the NSU students will be able to know about internship and working opportunities at Metlife Bangladesh. They will also get a chance to work jointly with Metlife Bangladesh in preparing their thesis papers.

Dr Norman K Swazo, director, Office of Research, NSU, gave the welcome speech.

Md Nurul Kabir, associate professor and chair at the Department of Accounting and Finance; Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Department of Management; Prof Jashim Uddin Ahmed, chair at the Department of Management; Prof Arifur Rahman of finance; Jamil Ahmed, director of Public Relations Office, NSU; and Dr Katherine Li, director, Office of External Affairs, were present on the occasion.
