North South University (NSU) on February 14 celebrated the arrival of Bangla spring season with "Basanta and Pitha Utsab 1429", featuring singing, reciting, dancing, and sweet delicacies of pithas.

The event was organised by NSU's Shangskritik Shangathan (NSUSS). The campus at Bashundhara was adorned with handmade festoons, banners, and flyers. Thousands of students in red and yellow attire with flowers in hand welcomed Pahela Falgun, said a press release.

The NSU plaza area was lively with traditional dances, folk songs, and a 'pitha utsab' showcasing a variety of sweet, sour, and spicy pithas.

NSU's Vice-Chancellor Professor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the festival.
