NSU signs MoU with Intellisia to promote sustainable business and innovation

NSU will contribute in-kind resources of equivalent value, including office space, utilities, faculty expertise, research staff and logistical support.

North South University (NSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intellisia, a global research think tank based in Guangzhou, China, on September 17 to strengthen research, innovation and sustainable business cooperation.

The agreement was signed by Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, PhD, Vice Chancellor of NSU, and Professor Dingding Chen, CEO of Intellisia and Vice Dean of the BRI and GBA Institute. Both sides emphasised the importance of building sustainable economic partnerships and producing research to guide businesses and policymakers in Bangladesh and China.

Under the MoU, Intellisia will provide USD 50,000 over the next five years in ten semi-annual instalments of USD 5,000 each. The funds will support research, consulting and intelligence-gathering activities through the newly established Center for Chinese Economy, Innovation and Cooperation at NSU.

NSU will contribute in-kind resources of equivalent value, including office space, utilities, faculty expertise, research staff and logistical support.

A Joint Steering Committee with representatives from NSU and Intellisia will oversee the funding, review project outcomes and ensure accountability.

The two institutions said the collaboration aims to establish Dhaka as a regional hub for research on innovation, sustainable trade and business cooperation with China.
