Orientation held at Green University

Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) arranged an orientation programme for freshers of 2022's fall semester yesterday on the campus in Dhaka.

Md Iqbal Habib, an architect and urban activist, was present as the chief guest at the programme, presided over by GUB Vice Chancellor Prof Golam Samdani Fakir, said a press release.

Prof Md Fayzur Rahman, treasurer; Prof Md Saiful Azad, dean (acting), Faculty of Science and Engineering; Prof Farhana Helal Mehtab, dean, Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences; Prof Mohammed Tareque Aziz, dean, Faculty of Business Studies; Brig Gen (retd) Md Mahboob Sarwar, registrar; and professors, chairpersons of different departments, faculty members and newly admitted students were present.

VC Golam Samdani welcomed the freshers and encouraged them to prepare themselves as global citizens.

Addressing the event, Iqbal Habib focused on the environment as well as climate change of Bangladesh.

Md Mahboob Sarwar highlighted the background and regulations of the university through a power point presentation.
