OxfordAQA has launched its first subject-specific teacher training programme in Bangladesh.

The two-day training was held on September 26-27, 2025 at Hotel Sarina, Dhaka, focused on International GCSE and A-level English and brought together over 100 teachers from leading English medium schools across Bangladesh.

The sessions were conducted by Dr Pete Bunten, a senior examiner from OxfordAQA for their popular English specifications, who guided participants through effective teaching strategies, assessment practices, and classroom approaches to strengthen the delivery of OxfordAQA's English qualifications.

The event was inaugurated by Shahin Reza, country director for Bangladesh and Nepal, OxfordAQA, and Maxim Raimann, exams director, Bangladesh, British Council.
