Passport officers distribute educational materials among street children

The Immigration and Passport Officers' Association distributed educational materials and food among street children yesterday, on the occasion of National Mourning Day.

Major General Mohammad Ayub Chowdhury, director general of the Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP) and chief adviser of the association, handed over the items to the children at the passport office in Dhaka's Agargaon area.

Addressing the event, Ayub Chowdhury said Bangabandhu was the leader of the helpless and brought the best out of people.

On this special day, such an initiative by the association is a reflection of the philosophy of Bangabandhu, he said.

Immigration and Passport Officers' Association President Md Saidur Rahman, General Secretary Abu Noman Zakir Hossain, Vice President Md Saidul Islam, Joint General Secretary Md Salah Uddin, Finance Secretary Maksudur Rahman, Office Secretary Azizul Islam and other leaders of the association were present at the event.
