Prize Distribution Ceremony of Gulshan Club Olympiad 2022 takes place

An Inter Club Sports Competition named 'Gulshan Club Olympiad-2022' was held from the 7th to November 12th, 2022 for the second time under the initiative of the Gulshan Club Limited. The closing ceremony of the program was organised on the 12th of November 2022, at Gulshan Club Auditorium.

Hon'ble Minister Mr K M Khalid MP, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest and Hon'ble Secretary General of The Bangladesh Olympic Association; Mr Syed Shahed Reza was also present as the guest of Honor.

Club President Mr Rafiqul Alam (Helal) delivered the welcome speech. Chairman of the Olympiad Committee Dr Wahiduzzaman (Tamal) gave a detailed speech about the arrangements and overall experiences regarding this year's arrangement. This year, a total of 716 competitors from 15 clubs participated in 18 events. Gulshan Club Warriors came out as the Champions with 9 Gold Medals and 4 Silvers. At the same time, runner up club was Chittagong Club Limited with 5 Gold Medals and 1 Silver medal. The other clubs shared the rest of the medals as follows: Cadet College Club Limited (4 Golds and 7 Silvers), Gulshan Youth Club Limited (2 Golds and 4 Silvers), Dhaka Boat Club Limited (2Golds), Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club Limited (3 Silvers), Dhaka Club Limited (1 Gold and 1 Silver), Sylhet Club Limited (1 Gold, 1 Silver), Banani Club Limited (1Gold, 2 Silvers), American Club Limited (1 Silver Medal), and Chittagong Seniors' Club Limited with 1 Silver Medal.

Overall events included - Arm Wrestling, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Chess, Golf, Snooker, Pool, Squash, Table Tennis, and Tennis. Women members of 9 clubs participated in the 6 events of Arm Wrestling, Basketball, Badminton, Golf, Table Tennis, and Tennis. Gulshan Youth Club was the Co-venue partner for Cricket, Basketball, and Badminton.
