Ali died recently at the age of 82.

Prof Naima Ali, lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor, Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman, Enam Ahmed Chaudhury, ATN News Chief Executive Editor Munni Saha, Syed Iqbal, Arshad Huq, Tarique and Nima Anam, Hannan, Shuvra Dev, and JI Mamun participated in the programme among others.
Noted singers Sadi Mohammad and Meher Afroz Shaon performed on the occasion.
