Shanto-Mariam Foundation Day and Founder’s 71st birth anniversary observed

Shanto-Mariam Foundation Day 2025 and the 71st birth anniversary of the Founder Chairman, valiant freedom fighter, the late Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto, were observed on February 11.

On this occasion, Shanto-Mariam Foundation, Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, and Sundarban Courier Service (Pvt.) Ltd. organized a three-day series of events.

As part of the celebrations, a three-day art exhibition was held at Creative The Art Gallery in the Shanto-Mariam Foundation building in Uttara, showcasing works dedicated to the Founder Chairman. On February 10, 2025, the Shanto Nibas elderly housing project, a long-cherished initiative of the late Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto, was inaugurated to support underprivileged and disadvantaged individuals.

On February 11, floral tributes and a prayer session were held at the Banani grave of the Founder Chairman, organized by Shanto-Mariam Foundation, Shanto-Mariam University, Sundarban Courier Service Pvt. Ltd., and other affiliated organizations. A children's art competition took place at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of Shanto-Mariam Academy of Creative Technology and Shanto-Mariam School of Creative Technology. A blood donation program was also organized at the university premises.

Later in the afternoon, a cake-cutting ceremony, discussion session, and cultural event were held at Shanto-Mariam University's auditorium. The event was attended by Dr. Md. Ahsanul Kabir, Chairman of Shanto-Mariam Foundation, Artist Professor Mostafizul Haque, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Shanto-Mariam University, and other esteemed members of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of Shanto-Mariam Foundation.

The discussion session featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Shah-E-Alam, Vice-Chancellor of Shanto-Mariam University, Hafizur Rahman Pulok, Vice-Chairman of Sundarban Courier Service Pvt. Ltd. and President of the Courier Services Association of Bangladesh, Professor Syed Azizul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Shanto-Mariam University and renowned literary figure, and Dr. M.A. Rashid, Professor at Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Center.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Md. Ahsanul Kabir, Chairman of Shanto-Mariam Foundation and Sundarban Courier Service Pvt. Ltd. A mesmerizing cultural performance by members of the University's Cultural Forum and students of Shanto-Mariam Academy brought the celebrations to a close.
