SIBL chairman donates Tk 36 lakh scholarship for DU students

Social Islami Bank PLC (SIBL) Chairman Prof M Sadiqul Islam, FCMA, handed over a cheque for Tk 36 lakh to Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan on Friday to support scholarships for underprivileged students with special needs, said a press release.

The ceremony, held at the Dhaka University Alumni Association's Alumni Floor, was attended by key dignitaries, including SIBL's Acting Managing Director Md Nazmus Saadat. Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan delivered the keynote speech, commending the leadership's efforts in navigating challenges to restore the bank's stability.
