Southeast University holds orientation programme

Freshers' reception and orientation programme of the newly admitted students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department (EEE) and Architecture Department for summer semester 2022 of Southeast University (SEU) was held on August 14 at the seminar hall, Banani, Dhaka, said a press release.

Prof AFM Mafizul Islam, vice chancellor of SEU, chaired the programme while Hosne Ara Begum ndc, secretary (retd) and former managing director, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, ICT Division, was present as chief guest.

Ar Kazi Golam Nasir, former chief architect, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, and former president of IAB, attended as special guest. Maj Gen (retd) Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, registrar of SEU, welcomed the newly enrolled students. He discussed about rules, regulations and facilities of the university.

Dr Nahid Akhter Jahan, chairperson, Department of EEE; and Ar Dr Masud Ur Rashid, chairman, Department of Architecture, introduced their respective faculty members to the students. Prof ANM Meshquat Uddin, adviser to the BoT, also spoke.

Among others, chairmen, faculty members, officials, newly enrolled students and their guardians were present on the occasion.
