DU gets new proctor

Dr Saifuddin Ahmed, an associate professor of the Peace and Conflict Studies Department of Dhaka University, has been appointed as the proctor of the university.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan appointed Saifuddin Ahmed today to the post, said DU officials.

"I have joined the office today after being appointed as proctor of the university, said Saifuddin.

He replaces Dr M Maksudur Rahman, a professor of the Geography and Environment Department of Dhaka University.
