Block Print Hits Roadblock

Around January every year, people who do block printing on saris, punjabis and other attires in and around New Market and Gausia Market, start shipping their products to all corners of the country for the very important Bangla New Year sale. This year, however, the blockade and hartals have ruined it for them. They say they've lost half their businesses and probably won't recover from the lost time in the two weeks that are left before Pahela Baishakh.
