Once a vibrant source of entertainment, the circus industry now fights for survival. Circus companies once travelled the country, especially during winter, showcasing the impressive acts of their skilled artists. Acrobats defied gravity, gymnasts performed breathtaking balancing acts, daring motorcyclists wowed with their stunts, and fearless performers engaged in dangerous acts with wild animals, all while clowns brought laughter amidst the excitement. However, those days are gone, and only a few circuses have managed to survive against the odds. One such circus, The Jony Circus, has recently set up its tent on the bank of the Baliaghata river in Khulna, hoping to restore its former glory.
