Juicy, flavourful pineapples of Madhupur flood markets

Pineapples grown in orchards of Madhupur upazila are known for their flavour and sweetness. Farmers say yield is good this year, but the price is not. A large pineapple sells for Tk 30 to Tk 35, which is about half of last year's price. According to sellers in the kitchen markets, there is not enough demand for all the pineapples that the farmers have grown.
