THIS RAINY SEASON

As the Bangla month of Shraban ends, so does what is officially the rainy season of Bangladesh. This year there was plenty of rain. The downpours flooded streets in Dhaka and Chittagong making the life of many miserable. A rather prolonged stay of cyclone Komen made it worse. But that is just half the story. This season rejuvenates the greens. It is a season of smog-free clear blue skies and skies with scattered white patches of clouds and just before the heavens open, dark black clouds. While some have difficulty getting to work in the rain, children love playing football in the rain.
