The city, Dhaka, is mostly a concrete jungle where nature has a very little part to play. Its greens have vanished or are left to neglect. Even then nature thrives. If one looks around carefully one would find many different birds chirping in the shade or fighting for survival in the fetid water of a lake. Some of the most common birds still existing in this city are kingfishers, doves, parakeets, owls, herons, jungle mynas, kites, drongos and woodpeckers featured on this page..
