2 burnt in boiler blast in Mirpur

Two workers of a dyeing factory in Mirpur area in the capital have sustained severe burn injuries when a boiler exploded early today.

Swapan, 22, and Ariful Islam, 28, are now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, Dadon Fakir, officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station, told The Daily Star.

According to the victims, the boiler exploded while they were working in the factory around 2:30am.

Swapan and Ariful sustained 90 percent burn injuries on their bodies, police said.
